Lauren Power joined the Islanders Athletics staff in 2012. She is currently serving as a scholastic coordinator for the Center for Athletic Academic Services (CAAS). Power works with the volleyball, track & field and cross country programs.
Power received her Bachelor of Science in interdisciplinary studies in 2008 and Master of Science in counseling in 2010 at Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi. She is currently a doctoral candidate in the counseling and educational psychology department at the Island University.
Power’s experience at Texas A&M - Corpus Christi includes service as a learning assistant and graduate assistant for the Center for Athletic Academic Services (2009-2010), counseling supervisor and teaching assistant for the counseling and educational psychology department as a doctoral student (2011-2012), and college of education senator for the Student Government Association as an undergraduate student.
Power is originally from Shreveport, La. She is married to Nicholas Power and has one step-son, Trevor. The family resides in Corpus Christi
