Chelsea Kuehner is an assistant athletic trainer for the Islanders Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track and Field teams.
Kuehner received her Masters of Science degree in Athletic Training at Texas State while working as a graduate assistant athletic trainer for the men’s and women’s cross country and track and field teams. Prior to that, she attended Alderson-Broaddus College in Philippi, W. Va., where she received her Bachelor of Science Cum Laude in Athletic Training in 2010. Kuehner worked with the women’s softball and volleyball teams along with the baseball team as an athletic training student.
Kuehner received her Associates of Science in Kinesiology and Physical Education from the College of the Siskiyous in Weed, Calif., in 2007. As the head athletic training student she worked with the baseball and football teams.
She is a certified and licensed athletic trainer and is part of the National Athletic Trainers Association and is a corrective exercise specialist with the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
Kuehner is originally from Gilbert, Ariz. and currently resides in Corpus Christi.
