Izzy the Islander is at all of the Islanders home athletic events at the Moody Fieldhouse (volleyball) on the TAMUCC campus, at the American Bank Center (basketball) and at Whataburger Field (baseball) downtown throughout the academic year. In addition, Izzy is required to attend events on-campus to promote upcoming athletic events including, but not limited to Islander Invasion, Homecoming week, and pep rallies. There are also other occasions when Izzy is needed for University functions and community events on and off-campus throughout the year as determined by the Assistant Athletic Director of Marketing, Associate Athletic Director of Development or Athletic Director. A team of up to five students will be selected to perform these duties as Izzy the Islander.
